Healing the Postpartum Body: days, months, years, decades later

Why the Postpartum Years? Yes, it is true that the postpartum period lasts 6 weeks. There is a “delayed postpartum” in the literature that lasts “up to 6 months”. For those of us who have had a pregnancy and delivery, changes often last a lifetime. The dysfunction many of us are left with can be treated. Sometimes those treatments are best done by a physical therapist. Sometimes surgery may be the answer. Other times it may be a mental health practitioner, a chiropractor, an acupuncturist, or someone else. I started this passion project to educate women on what the postpartum issues are, what treatments are available, what the research says, and what else is out there that shows promise but has not yet been researched. I invite you on my journey to heal the postpartum body.
